Laura Palmer, Weight Loss Coach
Laura has worked with clients as a Personal Wellness Coach for over 8 years offering education on nutrition and lifestyle habits for better health and weight management. Laura co-founded with her husband Tim Matheny, and is President of Weigh 2 Wellness, Ltd. Through this company, Laura works with people in group settings as well as individually to customize nutrition programs to help individuals achieve their health and weight goals. She has helped hundreds of people lose thousands of pounds! Weight management, nutrition and fitness have been of major focus for Laura during a lifetime career as a professional dancer specializing in ballet, tap, jazz and modern dance. As a graduate of Barat College in Lake Forest, IL with a BA degree in Dance and a BA in Theatre, Laura pursued an extensive career in performing, teaching and directing Performing Arts Schools in the Chicagoland area. Along with education in dance and theatre classes, Laura studied nutrition and anatomy as well as many hours of study in the sciences including biology, chemistry, and psychology. The blending of good nutrition, fitness and fun are not new concepts to Laura. In 1982 Laura, along with her partner, Ester Pool from Peru, released a nationally distributed dance exercise album through Mirus Music that was available in both English and Spanish. Their mission was to help people have fun while exercising and incorporating simple dance steps to popular upbeat music. The passion to help people live healthier lives through education and fun continues to be her mission. Currently Laura is working with RPFitness as a weight loss coach. Achieving a healthy lifestyle is a combination of physical fitness as well as incorporating a healthy nutritional program to your life. Every member is entitled to a FREE 15 minute Nutrition Orientation to introduce the variety of programs available to assist you in reaching your goals. Whether you choose a one on one coaching program or wish to join a group Weight Loss Challenge, you will learn the necessary skills to live a more active and energetic lifestyle.
